National Disability Insurance Scheme – NDIS
Naomi McCann Speech Pathology is an unregistered NDIS provider. We currently provide services to Plan Managed and Self-Managed plans only.
Whilst we do not need to see your funding allocation, we will request to see your NDIS Plan Goals. In the instance that you do not have sufficient funding to cover our recommendations, we will work with you to develop a plan around how to best meet your goals and objectives within the limits of your plan.
A gap fee may apply for NDIS participants if the cost of their service is above the rates advertised in the NDIS Price Guide.
The NDIS fee guide recommendation is $193.99 per hour or part thereof, for Speech Pathology services.
Medicare: Chronic Disease Management (CDM) Plan and Rebates
Sessions are eligible for rebates if your GP refers you under a Chronic Disease Management Plan.
Current rebates are $60.35, and GPs can allocate up to 5 sessions per calendar year. Your GP will discuss how many sessions they are referring you for and for what reason.
Generally, a CDM plan is used to access more than one health provider, and is aimed at assessing and planning interventions for more complex needs. Please contact your GP to discuss your eligibility.
Private Health Funds
If you have private health insurance, you may be able to claim a rebate. Clients will be invoiced for the full fee amount and will need to claim the rebate themselves.
Rebates vary between different health funds, and we advise you to check with your fund prior to making your appointment.
Health funds generally pay a rebate on assessments, which may be useful for you if you aim to have your child formally assessed for learning or disability issues.
During the initial consultation, we will make a recommendation of the assessment sessions required, then in consultation with the participant/client or representative, will determine appropriate goals and ongoing intervention.
